Highcroft Hurricanes Swim Team

Volunteering includes meet night roles as well as social event roles (including small purchases of food/drink items), so there are a number of ways to contribute and fulfill your points requirement. Required number of points is as follows:

Families with 1 swimmer = 4 points

Families with 2 swimmers = 6 points

Families with 3+ swimmers = 8 points

There is no deadline for Registration, however we encourage you to enroll as early as possible to ensure we can get any swim suits and/or T-Shirts ordered and available for the start of the season. Payment must be completed before swimmers will be allowed to participate in practices and/or meets. This year we have worked hard to provide you with fee free options (in addition to the ease of paying via credit card for a fee). You can now pay via credit card (for a 3% fee), Venmo (free as long as you elect to pay via Venmo balance or bank account) or payment via Zelle (ACH transfer via your bank account app).

During this online registration process you will be asked if you would like to purchase a swim suit and T-Shirt. These are both optional, and the swim suit is the same style as last season (so if your suit still fits, no need to buy another). However, if you do need a suit or would like to buy a T-Shirt, please make sure to select your options during registration as we have to do a bulk order of both in order to have them available for the start of the season. If you do not know what size swimsuit to purchase for your swimmer, please select the option informing our swimsuit chair that you'd like to purchase a suit, but will be trying on for size at our suit try-on event (it is better to say that vs guess on the size, and this is not an issue). Swim suit try on will be April 21st at the Highcroft Pool from 2-4pm.

I, as a parent or guardian of my minor child/children, named below, do hereby give permission for them to participate as a member and swimmer on the Highcroft Community Swim Team. (“Team”), which will be utilizing the Highcroft Home Owners Association’s (“Association”) aquatic facilities consisting of its bathhouse, main pool, deck and parking lot (“Facilities”). As part of my child’s /children’s participation on the Team, and in exchange for allowing my child/children, as a member and swimmer on the Team to use the Facilities, I hereby assume all risk and agree to accept full responsibility and liability for any damages or injuries I or my dependent child/children may cause or suffer arising out of participation on the Team or as a result of or arising out of the use of the Facilities.

I hereby agree to be fully liable for and hereby agree to waive and release Highcroft Home Owners Association, its Board of Directors, officers, employees, agents and members from any and all injuries, costs, damages, causes of action, claims, direct or indirect, and any consequential and incidental damages arising out of or resulting from any injury, death, or damage to property which I or my dependent child or children may sustain as a result of or arising out of participation on the Team or as a result of or arising out of the use of the Facilities. I hereby agree to waive any and all claims that I may have, either directly or indirectly, against Highcroft Community Home Owners Association, its Board of Directors, officers, employees, agents and members as result of any and all injuries or loss to my dependent or damage to property of my dependent in relation to his or her participation on the Team or arising out of the use of the Facilities.

I further agree to indemnify, reimburse, and forever hold harmless Highcroft Community Home Owners Association, its Board of Directors, officers, employees, agents and members from any and all injuries, costs, damages, causes of action, claims and any consequential and incidental damages arising out of or resulting from any injury, death, or damage to property which I or my dependent may sustain or cause as a result of participation on the Team or as a result of or arising out of the use of the Facilities.

Participant and participant’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) hereby release, discharge, covenant not to sue, and agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless and release Highcroft Community Swim Team, its administrators, directors, agents, officers, members, volunteers, other Participants, sponsors, owners or lessors of the premises where the activity takes place, from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages on the Participant’s account, caused or alleged to be caused, in whole or in part, by the negligence of the releases.

I am aware of the risks associated with participation on the Team and the use of the Facilities and hereby accept and assume on behalf of myself or dependent child/children full responsibility for any and all such risks, including, without limitation, the need to check with a physician before engaging in the activity. I further acknowledge and agree that my child/children are covered under a health insurance policy or other medical or health coverage and that that policy or coverage will be considered primary coverage for any and all purposes in the event of a covered injury or loss.

As a member of the Highcroft Community, I will abide by pool use rules as established by the HOA during all HHST related pool events. This shall include ensuring children will remain under appropriate supervision of a responsible adult. The HHST coaches will not serve as 'responsible adult' while on duty.
